A guide for building your story – The Sunday Snippet [7.24.11]

Using stories is an effective way to be memorable, to motivate, and to persuade. But what’s the best way to put together a story? What’s the form? Where do you start?
Andrew Nemiccolo of Seven Story Learning helps others communicate effectively through story. He works with companies and individuals to 1) tell their own story well, and 2) be good listeners of other people’s stories in order to facilitate mutual understanding and success.
Andrew has researched and developed an easy-to-use story process that appeals to both logic and emotion and it’s called CHAPTER: Conflict, Hero, Anticipation, Peak, Transformation, Explanation, and Relate. He explains these key components in more detail at http://sevenstorylearning.com/story/chapte/.
At ClientKudos we use the CHAPTER method in our own storybuilding and storytelling projects, and we hope you will, too.
