What a great reminder of the importance (and difficulty) of brevity and careful editing.
It’s so easy to email, blog, Facebook, and Tweet that we sometimes forget the time constraints of our audience, as well as the message relevance.
Short, sweet and to-the-point always wins. Look for unnecessary words and phrases by reading your work aloud and listening for tangled or rambling sentences. Your audience will appreciate your clear thinking and polite use of their time, and you’ll be more likely to get your message across.
